Disagreements in International Financial Matters Successfully Resolved

This week, disagreements related the return of funds between a foreign bank and a foreign commercial company that had connections with Russian individuals have been peacefully resolved.

The company promptly applied for a conciliation procedure with the participation of one of the mediators of the Solis Mediation Center.

The bank had been conducting an audit of the company for more than six months and did not issue funds in the company's account, also did not allow them to be freely disposed of. Disagreements reached a high emotional level, and the company was ready to seek judicial protection.

Mediator Daria Zhdan-Pushkina conducted shuttle negotiations. During the negotiations, the mediator returned the parties to a rational discussion of the issues that had arisen. The parties agreed on polite communication, on the rules of communication only via an intermediary. Thus, the negotiations moved into a friendly direction. Within a week, the disagreements were resolved, and the bank returned the funds from the account to the company. The negotiations were conducted in English.
