In May 2024, the project Concept for the Development of Mediation in Russia was defended at the Department of Theory and Practice of Interaction between Business and Government of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
The project was prepared by mediators of the Solis Mediation Center Daria Zhdan-Pushkina, Natalya Frolova, Veronika Demidova, Sergei Filin. The scientific leadership of the department was carried out by Sergei Renatovich Borisov, professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the All-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses “OPORA RUSSIA”.
The project shows the following:
• Statistics on the workload of Russian state courts
• Negative factors accompanying the consideration of a dispute in court
• Review of current practices in resolving disputes between entrepreneurs and government bodies using extrajudicial methods
• Practice of resolving administrative disputes in the USA and China
The project discusses measures and mechanisms that could help the development of mediation in Russia.
