2024 Annual Report of the Solis Mediation Center

The year 2024 marked a period of significant growth and successful expansion of our professional scope at the Solis Mediation Center. We focused on raising awareness of mediation, refining our practices, and strengthening international partnerships.

This year, we expanded our team of mediators by bringing in professionals from the United Kingdom, China, and Russia.

We organized two major conferences:

- Communicative and Legal Tools for Mediators: Latest Research and Practical Insights
- Corporate Disputes: Extrajudicial Resolution Methods

Additionally, we hosted over ten scientific and practical seminars and training sessions on negotiation and mediation.

We published a Methodological Guide for Judges on Referring Cases to Mediation and produced 11 publications across various mediation topics.

We launched and delivered a Business Mediation course at the Higher School of Economics for 120 third-year students from various faculties, and a Mediation course for 40 fourth-year law students.

Our team participated in key industry conferences, both in Russia and internationally, focusing on the development of arbitration and mediation in sectors such as maritime law, insurance, and the regulation of mediation practices.

We also supported a team of students from HSE in the international mediation competition in Hong Kong, where they received an award for best advocacy in mediation.

Our mediators participated in international events in Belarus, Hungary, China, and France. Jonathan Lux, a leading UK mediator, delivered a lecture at our center.

2024 was a year dedicated to advancing corporate and business mediation, as well as mediation within the framework of commercial arbitration. We remain committed to expanding mediation practices, enhancing training methodologies, and integrating mediation techniques into traditional dispute resolution processes (courts and arbitration).

Looking ahead with optimism, we plan to further develop mediation in international commercial and investment disputes. We are confident that in 2025, we will achieve even greater success and expand our network of partners.

We are proud of our team’s accomplishments and wish everyone a prosperous New Year!
