On 3 October 2025, a business mediation training Family Business was held.
The training was organized by the Solis Mediation Center.
At the event, participants mediated a dispute between family members, an uncle and niece, over the management of their joint business, a law firm.
The dispute addressed, among other issues, the following:
- What is the participants' contribution to the family business?
- What is the potential profit for each participant?
- What are their views on business management and promotion?
- What is the role of artificial intelligence in the legal business?
- Their attitudes toward business inheritance and its name.
Furthermore, participants discussed the levels of conflict that arise in family businesses and the psychological roles of family business members, as well as how to overcome communication barriers and break out of habitual, unconstructive behavior patterns.
We thank mediator Elena Doronina for conducting this mediation, as well as Olga Kravets and Sergey Filin for their excellent representation of the parties' positions. We also thank the observers and critics for their active discussion of the contentious issues.
Through such events, we help each other develop professionally and help people unfamiliar with mediation see how the process actually works.
We plan to hold our next meeting around 19 December (the exact date will be announced in November).
