Zhiling Li has been a lawyer practicing in Shanghai, China Since October of 2018. She graduated from the LLM in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution of the City University of Hong Kong with Distinction in 2024. She was the project manager of the 3rd ICC-Hong Kong International Commercial Mediation Competition in which 18 teams participated in person.
She is an IMI qualified mediator. Currently she is heavily involved in various activities (such as research project, mediation practice and etc.) of the newly established Shanghai Eastern International Commercial Mediation Center as a mediation consultant. Shanghai Eastern International Commercial Mediation Center is coded as 001 by the Ministry of Justice of China in 2025.

Zhiling served as an arbitrator in Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot and a mediator in the Asia-pacific Commercial Mediation Competition in 2025.

Zhiling has wide experience in both civil and commercial litigation in China. She was selected to be one member of the International Law Committee of Shanghai Bar Association from Dec. 2021 to May 2024. She is also selected to be involved in various activities in Shanghai Bar Association in recent years, such as “Reading the Civil Code” and co-hosting the “Women's and Children's Rights Protection Case Exchange Conference”.

She also delivers sessions on Contract Management and Intellectual Property in the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Zhiling has also gained The Securities Qualification Certificate in China.

Zhiling was featured in the book “Young Lawyers Community: From Beginner to Elite” which is known in Chinese legal circle, especially among the young lawyers because of her special career path from a journalist to a lawyer.
